A woman for whom there is no limit to progress. Who has taught the world the value of beauty products? She has told everyone that makeup does not make a woman a cartoon, if the right makeup is used, it enhances the personality of women. It instills confidence in every woman and gives a finishing touch to her beauty. Yes, she is the well-known entrepreneur or the queen of the world of cosmetics, Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics. She has seen a lot in her learning journey. Only then she has been able to create a brand today, that is the choice of not only women of India but women across the country.

Vineeta Singh

Background of Vineeta Singh

Vineeta was born in 1983 in Anand, Gujarat.  Both her parents are working, she belongs to an erudite family, where her mother holds a PhD in a particular field and her father was a biophysicist. Her father designs rational structure-based drug design, structural biology of proteins, and X-ray crystallography. So he used to spend most of his time in the lab. Vineeta was very impressed by this thing of her father and she also wanted to make a name for herself in the world.

Veenita has been very intelligent since her childhood. In an interview, Veenita said that in her childhood she and her best friend had made a magazine and tried to sell it for 3 rupees by going door to door. Many people bought it and many said that 3 rupees are too much. At that time, for the first time, Veenita realized the value of money. After this Veenita took every step in her life which she knew she would be able to do well. She went to IIT Madras and then went to Ahmedabad to do MBA.

Where did Veenita Singh’s journey begin

Vineeta plays an important role in her story, at first she uses patience and the second is learning. She has used both words a lot in her journey. While doing an MBA, Veenita got a bank package of Rs.1 crore but she rejected the package because she always wanted to open her startup. After completing their MBA, Veenita planned to open her startup. She and her husband, her business partner at that time, approached big entrepreneurs for funding but no one invested in their idea. After this, in 2007, she opened her own company named Quetzal. Through this company, she used to get employee verification done but as she did not see much scope in this company, Veenita closed it.

After shutting down this company, Veenita and her husband did research and in the research, they found that within the cosmetics sector, there were products of the highest price and the lowest price, but the middle area was empty. Then they decided to set up their brand within this middle area.

After thinking this, the only thing left was customer research, for which they used their brains and in 2012 they opened another new company named Fab-Bag. Under this company, they used to make a whole month’s makeup and self-care package for women for Rs. 599.

Establishment of the brand: Sugar

Through the previous company, she took feedback from women and tried to find out what women wanted. When she learned all this, in 2015 she opened her third startup Sugar. She researches the market trends and her targeted audience to get a successful business. Veenita’s brand of sugar did not do much in India initially, but people outside liked it a lot. If we look at their marketing style, it is unique. In the beginning, they did not run any ads. They just gave their products to every influencer, small or big, and asked them to give feedback, after which their products became very popular in a short time. Her targeted audience is working women, homemakers, teenage girls, and makeup artists who use premium products on their customers.

Veenita made her group of a big brand. And today the overall profit of Sugar is 3000 crores.

People get to learn from Veenita’s story that if they want to achieve something or a destination then try to reach that destination with all their heart and not give up until they reach there,  difficulties will come but you should keep trying because if you keep giving up then you will not be able to fulfill your dreams in life, and if they give up then they will remain behind in world throughout their life. They can understand the concept of try but don’t cry this means not giving up in any case of your life.

Conclusion

Coming from a middle-class family, Vineeta Singh emerged as one of the most successful women entrepreneurs in the country. Her journey was not easy; she faced many challenges and setbacks along the way. However, through perseverance and determination, Vinita overcame these obstacles to achieve her remarkable feat. She has become a source of inspiration for other women entrepreneurs across the country.

Vinita’s business acumen and strategic investments have earned her popularity among aspiring entrepreneurs. Her hard work, work ethic, and never-say-die attitude show us that anything is possible with perseverance.
